New year, new resolutions and new books to read… (Polish version below).
A novelty for me, an oldie for the others – book already published in 2016 – which is another part of the World According to Clarkson: As I Was Saying…
It’s a collection of Clarkson essays published between 2013 and 2015, from which it’s almost impossible to break away from reading. You just want to read them all the time and almost everywhere: at home, on the way to the bus stop, in the tram, during the dinner, in bed or even in the toilet. And every time when you have to stop (because you’re adult now so you have … wait, how it’s called? … ah yes, responsibilities! also known as: family, job, bills and mortgage to pay, and all other adult things to do during the day), you start regret that you’re no longer a teenager … with face full of acne on the one hand, but without above To-Do list on the other.
Fortunately, after eight hours of work, when you can finally leave the office, you still have way to bus stop, then at least 30 minutes of tram trip, then dinner, bed… it’s called small moments of happiness.
I don’t know how this guy makes it, but you can not have enough. Well simply you can not „overdose” Clarkson, despite the fact that these columns in all parts of World According to Clarkson revolve around the same theme of: eco-freaks, incompetent politicians, limping education system and the various sorts of people without imagination (simply called an idiots). In addition, you will find there also a lot of references to the British version of Top Gear, especially including legendary stay in Argentina, which ended with a dramatic escape of film crew from the country. There are also biographical threads: the death of Clarkson mother, or anecdotes about his daughters.
I do not know about you, but I just love this guy. Therefore, I just swallowed these 406 pages printed in small font in less than four days, and now I feel a little sad because I’ll have to wait at least one year for another part of World According to Clarkson.
I highly recommend to all lovers of the British sense of humor. It’s worth!

Nowy rok, nowe postanowienia i nowe książki do przeczytania.
Warto!
